Goddess Totem Sculpting - coming soon
Friday January 28, 6pm.
Goddess Sculpting teaches how to practice self-love through the medium of clay in a fun, accepting and welcoming atmosphere. By literally re-creating yourself out of clay Goddess Sculpting teaches you how to practice self-love through focusing on our body and moulding them with love and kindness.
We will start our evening class with a guided self loving meditation. A simple loving practice that will remind us of our reverence, beauty and divine, unmeasurable value. We will dine on the most decadent, indulgent platters designed to satiate all cravings and desires and drink champagne to toast our perfectly imperfect selves! I promise that you will leave this class truly feeling into your goddess energy!
While we get our hands deliciously muddy we will play with and expose our insecurities regarding self-image in a lighthearted loving way, we will love ourselves through the perfectionism and criticism that we often find ourselves while moulding our gorgeous physical form out of raw earth. Goddess Sculpting is inspired by the ancient and mysterious Venus Figurine, an ancient sculpture of a woman with large hips and Breasts and a round (possibly pregnant) belly estimated to have been made around 25,000-30,000 years ago. While our own Goddess Sculpture may just look like a figurine or decorative piece to visitors, it will be a reminder of our unique beauty and to always choose self love and kindness. All clay and sculpting supplies will be included in the class.
Students will also be advised on the best places to have their pieces fired locally if they choose.
Aphrodite Cottage (Jules’ Home Art Studio) is at 51 Whitman Street, it is a white weatherboard cottage with a white picket fence. There is ample parking across the road, next to the caravan park.
Class starts at 6pm
